Please check out my Cherry Ripe Smoothie and Cherry Ripe Slice blog posts for more inspiration. This Cherry Ripe Overnight Porridge is a go-to if you’re lazy, or busy. Simply add all of your ingredients into a container and let them set overnight. The next day, you’ll have a creamy and cool porridge to enjoy on the go, or…not!
We make overnight porridge often in our home and use what we have on hand, so get creative! When I first heard of this breakfast method, I was a little confused, but after trying it myself, I can reassure you, nice cool and creamy oatmeal or porridge on a hot day is really refreshing and I recommend you trying it! I sincerely hope you enjoy this recipe! I used chocolate almond milk but you can use any non dairy (or even regular milk if that’s your preference) to this recipe.
- 1 Cup Quick Oats
- 1 TBSP Chia Seeds
- 1 1/4 Cup Chocolate Almond Milk (or non-dairy milk of your choice)
- 1/4 Cup Frozen Cherries
- Dried Coconut Flakes
- Place all ingredients into a jar or container of your choice and stir until combined.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Garnish if desired.
